What is our careers programme?

Our careers programme ensures student have the key information and guidance to make the right decisions for their next steps, beyond Â鶹ŮÀÉ. It also ensures that are students have developed their character and skills through a range of opportunities whilst at Â鶹ŮÀÉ. Each Phase of a child’s journey with us will focus on a different element of preparing them for the future. This is embedded through our character curriculum and the wider academy curriculum delivered.

In particular we intend our students to:

  • Develop a broad understanding of the working world and an ability to respond to an ever-changing world of work.
  • Ensure students feel confident in making the right choices for their future, through a range of opportunities and an unbiased approach to careers advice.
  • Be able to build a competitive application, due to a wide range of opportunities they have received within the academy and outside.
  • Develop the skills they need to reflect on achievements, plan future actions, make decisions, present themselves well and cope with change and transition.

We recognise that the process of making career decisions is a lengthy one that will continue after our students leave school.
