Personal Development
Why is the subject important?
Personal development consists of activities that develop a person’s capabilities and potential, build human capital, facilitate employability, and enhance quality of life and the realisation of dreams and aspirations. The core skills learnt during these lessons will be important to give each and every student at Â鶹ŮÀÉ the best possible start in life.
In Year 9 all students will complete both Trinity Challenge and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. These sessions will be used to deliver content for each award, but will also offer student’s different life experiences, which will help develop the whole ‘Trinity Student’.

How will I be assessed?
Students will be required to upload evidence of completing skills, physical exercise and volunteering tasks on a weekly basis to their online eDofE account. Homework each week will be to ensure that students complete at least one hour for each of their Duke of Edinburgh sections (physical, volunteering and skill). Students will also be completing Trinity Challenge tasks through the personal development lessons and teachers will update their evidence of this onto the students tracking document.
